No direct proof of birth, evidence is circumstantial. Banfill legend is desc
-ent from Hugh and Charles Banfill of Barrington. John Banfill sr. owned both
lots and was probably the father of George. VT Rev. War records show him as a
Sgt. in Simeon Stevens Coy. of Timothy Bedell's Regt. Anna's pension applicat-
ion in records. Township clerk Corinth 1780-1786. Ref.s History of Newbury
VT and History of Corinth VT. 1830 Census shows he and Anna living with Samuel
Family bible has record of children's birth date, time of day and day of week.
