Lived in Farnham QC. With his father-in-law there was the Banfill & Vilas foun
dry which he later sold to his brother-in-law. This became the Vilas furnitur
e factory. About 1860-1866 he and his father owned what was the old Stage Coac
h Inn at the Bolton Pass, an odd square building, see picture. The refence is
in the Brome Cty Museum. His death is in the Cong. Ch. Rec., Min Ch. W. Gunn
with burial in the Mansfield Burying ground, now East Farnham Cemetery.
